ソルトレイクシティ出身で現在はロサンゼルスを拠点に活動するオルタナティヴロックバンド Goldensunsが、4/14にOppositionからリリースしたニューシングル 'Alec'を公開！
Goldensunsは Chase Meier, Jantzen Meier, Weston Meierの3兄弟によるバンド。
以前のバンド名 Golden Sun時代から憂いのあるダウナーなロックや霞がかったドリームポップサウンドを聞かせてくれるナイスな面々で、昨年は長年の友人バンド Warpaintを迎えたシングル 'Empty', 'Pick Up Your Phone'がひそかに話題になりました。個人的には夏の終わりになると聴きたくなるバンドっていうイメージですね。
“Alec was our brother who tragically passed away in 2014. The song is about how that changed our lives and catapulted our journey”. The track is full of emotion and short on words, but the lyrics pack a punch with lines like: “Big dreaming after what happened to you, Change my life go someplace new, Everything I thought you'd do, Are you gone for good or born brand new?, Had to ask myself if I was dreaming but I'm not”
