murdermart、'LOSER'のMVを公開

マサチューセッツ州ボストン拠点のオルタナティヴロックバンド murdermartが、9/25にCantora Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'LOSER'のMVを公開！

murdermartはラスベガス出身のコレクティヴ。ソングライター、プロデューサー、マルチインストゥルメンタリスト、映像作家、デザイナーが在籍し、作品に関わるすべてを自分達で制作しています。

2024年にデビューアルバム『COWBOYS LIVE FOREVER』を発表。

4人組でそれぞれが複数の役割を担っており、全員ボーカルでもあります。なので曲ごとの印象が全然違いますが、エモーショナルであることの一点は共通してると感じられて、妙に気になる存在です。

“We wrote LOSER over the course of a few months. The first and the last verse (the beginning of the song and the end) were tracked during a time where a lot was changing. The world felt extremely heavy and each member of the band was dealing with their own changes. Nothing felt like it was lining up, things were started and left unfinished, there was a general disconnect. Something happened during that session though; the creation of this song seemed to burst that dam and was the first moment in a while where everything felt like it was supposed to. When moments like this hit the band, we capitalize off of the energy and start as many ideas as we can. In that same weekend we wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered “STOP!” and “4U.” "LOSER" set us on fire, and in a lot of ways it was the birth of this entire project.”

'LOSER'は数ヶ月かけて制作しました。最初のヴァースと最後のヴァースをレコーディングしたのは、多くの変化が起きていた時期のことです。世界はひどく重苦しく感じられ、バンドのメンバーそれぞれも自分自身の抱える変化と向き合っていました。物事がうまく噛み合わず、着手しても未完のまま放置されたり、全体的にどこか断絶したような空気が漂っていたのです。しかし、あるセッションで転機が訪れました。この曲の制作が堰を切るような役割を果たし、久しぶりにすべてがあるべき形に収まっていると実感できる瞬間が訪れたのです。こうした瞬間が訪れると、私たちはそのエネルギーを最大限に活かし、可能な限り多くのアイデアを形にしていきます。実際、同じ週末のうちに'STOP!'と'4U'の作曲、レコーディング、ミックス、マスタリングまでを完了させました。'LOSER'は私たちに火をつけ、ある意味で、このプロジェクト全体の出発点となったのです。
