オーストラリア/ブリスベン拠点のフォークロックバンド Cedarsmokeが、8/1にリリースしたニューシングル 'Picasso Blue'を公開！
Cedarsmokeはシンガーソングライター Jon Cloumassisを中心に結成し、現在は Tamala Wright, Matt Cloumassisを加えた3人組。
'Picasso Blue'は10/31発売のサードアルバム『Under The Rainbow』収録曲。
以下で語られている通りアレンジの変化がユニークで、2:52の部分が大胆で好きです。
“Musically, this song was a chance to experiment. As each verse was set in a different world lyrically, the aim was to pair the new setting with a new arrangement, dramatically shifting the sound from a gentle melancholy to an experimental psychosis.”
音楽的に、この曲は実験のチャンスでした。それぞれのヴァースが異なる世界を描いていたため、その場面ごとにアレンジも変えていくことを目指しました。穏やかな哀しみから実験的な狂気へと、音の雰囲気が劇的に移り変わる構成になっています。
