ペンシルベニア州フィラデルフィア拠点のオルタナティヴ・ポップバンド Pine Baronsが、2/28にGrind Selectからリリースしたニューシングル 'Frantic Francis'のMVを公開！
Pine Baronsはマルチインストゥルメンタリスト Keith Abramsを中心に結成されたバンドで、現在は5人組として活動してます。
2017年にデビューアルバム『The Acchin Book』、2022年にはフィッシュマンズのトリビュートアルバム『I LOVE FISH』を発表して話題になりました。
“"Frantic Francis” weaves hypnotic sounds with dreamlike imagery and a pulsing bass line, meant to simulate waking up as a child, when everything is brand new again. But it’s not supposed to be that deep either and mentions embracing mundane things, like drinking tea. After the I LOVE FISH project, I’ve approached songwriting for Pine Barons differently, putting more emphasis on patience, simplicity and really letting a song breathe.” - KC Abrams
'Frantic Francis'は、催眠的なサウンドに夢のようなイメージと脈打つベースラインを織り交ぜたもので、すべてが新しく生まれ変わった子供の頃の目覚めをシミュレートしているような作品です。でも、そこまで深い意味はなく、お茶を飲むような日常的なことを受け入れているような内容です。I LOVE FISHプロジェクトの後、Pine Baronsの曲作りは、忍耐とシンプルさ、そして曲を呼吸させることに重点を置き、違ったアプローチをしています。 - KC Abrams
