2年振りの新曲。
80'sっぽさを残しつつ、モダンなジャングルポップでもあり、アコギの生感を活かした響きはフォークで、バランス感覚が素晴らしい一曲です。
“On the surface, the lyrics are about some electric love interest that materializes out of nowhere within a strange and lonely night. But it’s more broadly a song about searching, and stumbling upon some anchor of hope amidst a sea of ennui. The song was inspired by a real life romantic encounter that happened during a low point of my life. It instantly turned things around, but at the time seemed impossible to be anything but fleeting. We had one unexpected night together at a wedding and the next morning got on separate planes to different corners of the country, fully unsure of the next time we would ever see each other.”
