スウェーデン/ベクシェー拠点のインディーポップバンド Last Place Runner-upsが、4/18にリリースしたニューシングル 'Ammonia'を公開！
2022年にデビューEP『Nowhere to Hide』、翌年にデビューアルバム『Ended Up In Last Place』を発表した4人組。
爽やかな演奏と、艷のあるボーカルによるキャッチーなメロディーが良い感じ。
“The song was written as an introspective deep dive in the mind of a serial monogamist that chases the highs and lows of relationship always ending up at the end of the line hungry for more. Ammonia is an innuendo of love that kills and the fact that love is a drug and a medium for affirmation and attention that makes us happy.”
この曲は、一人の恋人関係が終わるたびに次を求めてしまう“連続一途型”の人物の心の内を深く掘り下げた内省的な作品です。'Ammonia'という言葉は、愛の比喩であり、愛が時に人を壊す毒にもなりうることを示唆しています。また、愛は承認や注目を得る手段であり、私たちを幸せにしてくれる“依存性のある薬”のようなものでもあるという意味が込められています。
