“violence’66 is a song about me and my tendency to avoid conflict by any means necessary. I would much rather close my eyes and pretend to not notice something than call it out and potentially get into an argument. It’s just how I’m hardwired. I’ve always been that way. Risk averse. However, the older I get, the more capable I feel of speaking my mind.”
'violence'66'は、私と、どんな手段を使っても争いを避けようとする私の傾向についての歌だ。何かを訴えて口論になるくらいなら、目を閉じて気づかないふりをする方がずっといい。それが私の性格なんだ。私はいつもそうだった。リスクを嫌う。でも、年を重ねるにつれて、自分の意見を言うことができるようになった気がする。
