オーストラリア/メルボルン拠点のフォークポップアーティスト Laura Lucasと、イングランド拠点のシンガーソングライター・プロデューサー Luke Sital-Singhが、5/7にNettwerkからリリースしたニューシングル 'Same World (alt version)'を公開！
昨年11月発表のデビューアルバム『There’s a Place I Go』収録曲のデュエットバージョン。
Luke Sital-Singhのデュエットものは、以前記事にした Lydia Luceをはじめ外れなしで全部いい。この曲はオリジナルのオケとたぶん一緒だと思うけど、違って聞こえるから不思議。
Nettwerk系フォークと雑に括るけど、その中でも『There’s a Place I Go』は相当良いので未聴の方はぜひチェックを。理想的な1st。

この曲の最初のヴァースは、私が書いた中で一番のお気に入りです。'I'll use your light after you go'という歌詞は、要するに'I will photosynthesise off of you'という意味で、恋に落ちるとはまさにそういうことだと思うんです。まるで相手が太陽で、自分が葉っぱになったような感覚です。
