ベルギー出身のアートロックバンド The Guru Guru、ジャズアンサンブル Muze Jazz Orchestra、コンポーザー Lennert Baertsが、11/20にEigen beheerからリリースしたコラボレーションシングル 'Flora the Fragrant Ferret'を公開！
The Guru Guruは2012年に結成。METZ, Pere Ubu, Deerhoof, The Jesus Lizard, The Mars Voltaなどに影響を受けた折衷的なサウンドと、ボーカリスト Tom Adriaenssensの演劇めいたパフォーマンスが特徴です。
これまでに Brutus, Raketkanon and Kapitan Korsakovらと共演し、ヨーロッパ各地でツアーを行ない、ArcTanGent, Portals, Ment, Monkey Week, Pukkelpop などのフェスに出演してます。
'Flora the Fragrant Ferret'は、近日発売予定のニューアルバム『The Whistlewood Ball - Bedtime Stories of Song, Secrets and Sprouts (and Beyoncé)』収録曲。
同郷の他ジャンルで活躍する面々を呼んで制作したというロック/ジャズオペラの一側面。アヴァンギャルドでかっこいい。
