カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス拠点のニューウェイヴ・パンクデュオ Nice Boatが、8/6にSlouch Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Sick'のMVを公開！
ディレクターは Dylan Silver。
Nice Boatは、俳優・脚本家・監督として映像制作の世界でキャリアを築いてきた Dylan Silverと、長年音楽や視覚芸術に携わってきた Mike Thrasherによって結成し、昨年にデビューEP『Vol. 1』を発表。
'Sick'は9/25発売のデビューアルバム『I Don't Have The Bandwith』収録曲。
1つ前の記事 Babe Ruthlessを出してるレーベル Slouch Recordsの他のリリースもチェックしたら、いた。
雑味とヴァイブスで押し切る勢いが素晴らしいです。歪み過ぎた Delta 5のような、あの頃のThe Smellに出てそうな、Mika Mikoと対バンしてそうな感じ。
MVもいいね、ずっと繰り返している歌詞は「君が病めば病むほど、僕は気分が良くなる」だけど。
“The lyrics were sparked by a real person from a complicated past, but the feelings reach further than that. I think we can all relate to those fleeting, flickering moments when the thought of someone whose hurt us or hurt someone we love crosses our minds and the idea of them getting hurt doesn’t feel all that wrong. In fact, it feels kinda great.”
