カナダ/トロント拠点のフォークロックバンド Altamedaが、9/19にPheromone Recordingsからリリースしたニューアルバム『Crazy Blue』より、'Stuck In Your Ways'を公開！

先行シングルがどれも良くて、期待していた作品が予想通りに良かったときの喜びといったらもう。そんな中から、この曲もお気に入りでした。
“The song “Stuck In Your Ways” describes a person who’s too set in their own habits to see that they’re standing still while everything else moves. The line “Babe, don’t get so stuck in your ways, or the world will pass you by one of these days” — is a soft, but urgent warning. The sad reality of the world is that, allowing yourself to be too comfortable in the stillness can end up costing you a piece of yourself. It’s a subtle loss, the kind you don’t notice until one day, you’re just not who you used to be anymore.”
'Stuck In Your Ways'は、自分の習慣に固執しすぎて、周りが動いているのに自分だけが立ち止まっていることに気づかない人について描いています。“Babe, don’t get so stuck in your ways, or the world will pass you by one of these days”という一節は、優しくも切実な警告です。世界の悲しい現実は、静止の中で安住しすぎてしまうと、自分の一部を失ってしまうことがあるということです。それは微妙な喪失であり、ある日ふと気づいた時には、もはやかつての自分ではなくなっているのです。
