カナダ/エドモントン拠点のインディーポップアーティスト St.Arnaudが、8/29にCordova Bay Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Pretend Like You Do'を公開！
近日発売予定のEP『Strange Collections』収録曲。
彼の弟で、YouTube登録者数200万人近いアニメーター GingerPaleと活動を共にし、カナダ、ヨーロッパ、アメリカで数十回ものツアーを成功させてます。
“'Pretend Like You Do’ is about sifting through the leftover feelings you can’t quite shake. It’s about running into someone who still sneaks into your head, and trying to act like it doesn’t sting, like you’ve moved on as well as they seem to have. And we all do it, because it's just a part of adult life, a bit of the slow process of our lives getting a bit simpler, probably happier, duller maybe? At its core, it’s really a song about pride, hurt, and that weird, stubborn scar of tenderness that we want to keep covered up. I wanted it to feel raw, a little bitter, but still tender under the surface - 'like a rotten old peach, like I've lost my appeal' is also just a fun chorus line to sing.”
