フランス出身のインディーポップアーティスト Mélanie Painが、9/3にCapitane Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Bluer than Blue'のMVを公開！

Mélanie Painは、ポストパンクやニューウェイヴの名曲をボサノバ風にアレンジするカバー・プロジェクト Nouvelle Vagueに長年参加してきたことで知られるシンガー。
'Bluer than Blue'は近日発売予定のニューアルバム収録曲で、共同作曲に Mathieu Geghre (The Rodeo, Maissiat, Blondino)が参加。
“Unlike the rest of the album, the arrangements came after — with a kind of classical urge to translate emotion and lyrics into sound. The song ended up both haunting and airy, dense and light.”
アルバムの他の曲と違って、この曲はまず感情や歌詞があって、それを音に落とし込む形でアレンジが加わりました。クラシック的な衝動に近かったと思います。結果として、どこか幽玄でありながら軽やかでもあり、重厚さと透明感が同居する仕上がりになりました。
