Easy Sleeper、'Slumber Set'を公開

カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス拠点のインディーロックバンド Easy Sleeperが、8/22にリリースしたニューシングル 'Slumber Set'を公開！

Easy Sleeperは Douglas Guttenberger, Alex Lubeck, David Poznansky, Caddy, Lone Rangerの4人組。

2018年にワシントンD.C.で結成。翌年にLAへ拠点を移し、パンデミック中にギタリストが加入。2023年にデビューEP『Stay Home Always』、翌年にデビューアルバム『A Sacred Way of Living』を発表。

ひねりのある構成と素朴なグッドメロディー、そのねじれ感が Built to Spillっぽくて好きです。

“the song describes three different, concrete interactions that I’ve had recently. Interactions that stuck with me. The unifying theme was how to approach and work through a disagreement. How can that go right? How can that go wrong?” “Later, as a challenge to myself, I forced myself to tie it all together in one brief story. この曲は、私が最近経験した三つの具体的なやり取りを描いています。心に残ったやり取りです。共通するテーマは、意見の対立にどう向き合い、どう乗り越えるかということでした。それがうまくいく場合もあれば、失敗する場合もある。その後、自分への挑戦として、それらをひとつの短い物語にまとめるようにしました。私の目標は、聴き手が少しの時間を使って、その三つの要素を自分なりに結びつけることです。 - Douglas Guttenberger
