デンマーク/コペンハーゲン拠点のインディーポップバンド Bear With Meが、11/26にMøs Møsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Sun'を公開！
Bear With Meはマルチインストゥルメンタリスト Thorbjørn Kaasを中心に結成されたバンドで、'Sun'は近日発売予定のセカンドEP収録曲です。
ウェットな雰囲気やメランコリックなメロディが素敵だし、1:04辺りからの楽器の絡み方も好き。今はインディ感のある音作りだけど、しばらくしたら壮大で洗練されたサウンドデザインをバックに歌ってる姿も想像できますね。
“It’s mainly a sad song but with an uplifting chorus and an intention to move on. It’s a song about how a trauma can send small treads of terror trough your life. Accepting how such experiences affects your patterns of behavior, can be helpful in the process of accepting yourself. Sometimes you want to confront bad habits and sad memories, but most of the time it’s easier just to lock it up, and avoid to tear the wound up. “I could’ve hung it up on the wall, but I hid up in the ceiling” The first version was written for acoustic guitar and violins and the chords where quite different. It was a part of new approach to writing, for me personally. Instead of aiming for a fully produced demo with everything decides on forehand, I wanted to write more basic, stripped-down compositions. That way, the band have had more room and incentive to mark the music the way they want to.”
