イングランド/ロンドン拠点のポストパンクバンド Beige Banquetが、8/13にJust Step SidewaysからリリースしたEP『S/T』より、'CONSTRUCTION'を公開！
Beige Banquetは Tom Brierleyによるベッドルームプロジェクトとして始まり、現在は Joe Munsey, Danny Gillies, Ian Crafter, Blake Carlson-Joshuaを加えた5人組。
昨年結成の新人で1月発表のデビューアルバム『Beta』がかっこよかったバンド。今回のEPも良いです。
感情の発露が音になってドーンみたいな、それ故に冷めたらすぐ解散みたいなタイプというよりは、豊かな感受性で掘り進めて培ってきた好きな音楽の表現とそれらの幅をきちんと楽しませてくれるタイプ、の印象。実際はどうだか知らないよ。でも、アンサンブルのドライブ感や、ここでカウベルとか叩いたらアガるなーってときに叩くとか、個人的な好みに異様にフィットする楽曲です。

On the album I wanted to create a world through the music, while the EP leans to a more raw and personal style, focusing on myself rather than adopting characters. It feels like four separate songs, all different, but intrinsically linked by the theme of internal realisation.
