Plastic Mermaids、'Disco Wings'のMVを公開

ワイト島出身のオルタナティヴロックバンド Plastic Mermaidsが、9/9にSunday Best Recordingsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Disco Wings'のMVを公開！

2019年に素晴らしいデビューアルバム『Suddenly Everyone Explodes』を発表した彼らの新曲。メンバーのJamie Richardsは著名なミュージシャン (Bon Iver, Kurt Vile, Hot Chip)の間で話題のエフェクターブランド Neon Eggの製作に大忙しだったみたいですね。

ミックスに Ant Whiting (MIA, Lana De Ray)を起用し、これまでとは違うテイストの仕上がりになってます。音の変遷が面白いバンドです。

“‘Disco Wings’ came out one evening when I was sat alone in my lounge. I was playing my crap little nylon string, called the ‘Flager Meister’, momentarily feeling like I had the energy to stand up to those negative oppressive thoughts.” Douglas spent the next few months with the band, messing with synths and vocoders and finishing the lyrics “but always hopefully holding onto that initial sentiment.” - Douglas Richards
