ニューヨーク拠点のシンガーソングライター Laila Smithが、4/28にリリースしたニューシングル 'Diorama'を公開！
6歳からジャズを始め、地元のフェスに初出演。以降は Kennedy Center, Blue Note Tokyo, Monterey Jazz Festivalなどのステージに立ち、今年2月にデビューシングル 'The Most Important Thing About Me Is That I Do My Best'を発表。
'Diorama'は近日発売予定のEP『Something Dreadful's Going To Happen』収録曲。
早熟のキャリアとそのジャンルから離れたオルタナサウンド。近年のアメリカーナを再考するトレンドに近い気もするし、興味深いニューカマーです。
“"Diorama," I've created a digital twin of the physical diorama featured in my album art—an explorable environment where fans manipulate a miniature version of me through rooms filled with objects from my personal history. Inspired by '90s FMV aesthetics and pre-platform internet art, the experience transforms psychological concepts into interactive elements—a leaking hydrant bleeds childhood memory into adult space, a glitching archive sorts trauma by impossible taxonomies, a mirror reflects versions of self that never existed.”
