イングランド/ブライトン拠点のオルタナティヴロックバンド ladylikeが、11/17にリリースしたデビューシングル 'Southbound'を公開！
ladylikeは Georgia Butler, Spencer Withey, Archie Sagers, James Elyの4人組。
2022年に結成し、今年9月にベーシスト Archie Sagers主宰レーベル Crafting Roomによるコンピ『Brighton Compilation 2023』に参加。これまでに Divorce, The Paranoyds, Lorelle Meets The Obsolete, Rosie Alena, ĠENNと共演してます。
DLD, ELLiS•Dの2組によって、新曲が出たら必ず聴くリスト入りしたレーベルのボスが在籍する期待のバンド。
ジェットコースターを徐行で進むような抑揚と断続がユニークでかっこいいです。Big Thief, caroline辺りにが好きな人におすすめ。
“'Southbound' sort of an ode to being in your 20s and witnessing the people around you attempting to find a spot to settle in. It's based on experiences of friends really, and follows a stream of consciousness approach to songwriting, where we weren’t entirely sure of the song’s intent until we’d finished it. The song wanders off into sections of internal speech and anecdotes as it progresses.” - Georgia Butler
