King Casio、'Keeps Me In My House'を公開

イングランド/ブライトン・ロンドン拠点のマルチインストゥルメンタリスト Aaron Kingによるソロプロジェクト King Casioが、4/15にPluralBabyからリリースしたニューシングル 'Keeps Me In My House'を公開！

2023年のシングル 'So Much More'以来となる新曲。

最近は音楽療法士の資格を取得し、俳優 Frank Dillaneとのデュオ Mummy's Boyでも活動してます。

今回のひねりの効いたソングライティングについては、Carole King 'I Feel the Earth Move'のマイナーとメジャーの切り替わりにインスピレーションを受けたとのこと。前回は Harry Nilssonを引き合いに出してたりして、この人の70'sに対する解釈が好きですね。

“I wrote it about that strange mix of comfort and unease in modern life. I guess being occupied, stimulated, yet somehow not entirely free at the same time. It was also shaped by grief with the difficulty of making sense of loss in a world that just keeps carrying on. The track has movement and energy to it, but the lyrics are more meditative, circling around confusion, dissociation and the feeling of something being over your head.”

現代生活における心地よさと不安が入り混じった奇妙な感覚について書いたものです。何かに没頭し、刺激を受けているのに、同時に完全に自由ではないような感覚。また、悲しみ、そして、ただひたすら続いていく世界の中で喪失の意味を理解することの難しさも、この曲に影響を与えています。曲には動きとエネルギーがありますが、歌詞はより瞑想的で、混乱、解離、そして何かが頭上に覆いかぶさっているような感覚を巡っています。
