ニューヨーク/ブルックリン拠点のインディーポップアーティスト Alaina Mayが、5/28にリリースしたニューシングル 'Casual'を公開！
Alaina Mayは、ウィスコンシン州ミルウォーキー郊外出身のシンガーソングライター。
10歳でギターを習得し、その後にピアノ・ベース・その他の楽器も身につけて長年曲作りを続けてきたものの、本格的にソングライティングに取り組むようになったのは2021年のことで、2023年にデビューシングル 'Keeps Me Up'を発表。
共同作曲・プロデュースは TOLEDO。インディーポップ界のJam & Lewisみたいな働きぶりと確かな結果を出し続けてますね。
“‘Casual’ lives in that space where you mistake limerence for real connection,” “After something ends, even the smallest moments of closeness feel heightened and intoxicating because they’re easing a fresh wound. You can be completely self-aware—naming the pattern, recognizing the push and pull—and still not be able to stop yourself from getting pulled in. It’s that tension between wanting something light and realizing that, at my core, I’m just not wired for ‘casual.’”
