Black Doldrums、'Compulsion'のMVを公開

イングランド/ロンドン拠点のゴス・ポストパンクバンド Black Doldrumsが、8/26にFuzz Clubからリリースしたニューシングル 'Compulsion'のMVを公開！

制作は Sophie Landers, Kevin Gibbard。

11/13発売のニューアルバム『Repetition Compulsion』収録曲。

このジャンルを聴きたいときに欲しいムードや形容詞がきちんと揃ってるのが嬉しい。

“I wrote ‘Compulsion’ as the second part of our first single, ‘Repetition’. It originally started life as one piece of work, but naturally split into two separate songs. That gave us the opportunity to directly reference ‘Repetition; while continuing the central themes of the album and reinforcing the idea that all of the songs are connected in some way. Where ‘Repetition’ has a more dirge-like feel that literally reflects the idea of repetition, ‘Compulsion; has a greater sense of forward motion, building in intensity as it develops.” - Kevin Gibbard

'Compulsion'は、ファーストシングルである'Repetition'の続編として書いた曲です。元々は一つの作品として始まったものですが、自然な流れで二つの異なる楽曲に分かれました。そのおかげで、'Repetition'を直接的に参照しつつ、アルバムの核心となるテーマを継続させ、すべての曲が何らかの形でつながっているというコンセプトをより強固なものにすることができました。'Repetition'が「反復」という概念を文字通り反映した、葬送曲のような重苦しい雰囲気を持つのに対し、'Compulsion'はより前進するような推進力があり、展開するにつれて激しさを増していく構成になっています。- Kevin Gibbard
