Gooseberry、'Fault Lines'のMVを公開

ニューヨーク/ブルックリン拠点のオルタナティヴロックバンド Gooseberryが、7/17にリリースしたニューシングル 'Fault Lines'のMVを公開！

ディレクターは Peyton Miller。

9/25発売予定のニューアルバム『Simple Sucker』収録曲。

やっぱり今こそSoundgardenっしょ！という潔さが気持ちいいグランジバンド。もちろんそれだけではないけど、いなたい骨太さが好き。突き抜けてほしい。

“You know that meme where Squidward watches from his window as Spongebob and Patrick have all kinds of fun? That’s essentially what this song is about. It's a song about picking up your life and moving from a place you've known all your life (say, New York City) and relocating 300+ miles away to a city that could not be more dissimilar. From afar, all you can do is rot away watching on social media as other bands play shows at your favorite venues back home that you could not attend. In many ways, this song is about homesickness, but also how the crush of isolation can distort tremendously.”

スポンジ・ボブとパトリックが楽しそうに遊んでいる様子を、イカルドが窓越しに眺めているあのミームをご存知でしょうか？この曲は、まさにあの状況を歌ったものです。生まれ育った場所（例えばニューヨークのような街）を離れ、そこから300マイル以上も離れた、全く雰囲気の異なる街へ移り住むことについて歌っています。遠く離れた場所からSNSを眺め、地元の行きつけのライブハウスで他のバンドが演奏しているのを目にしながら、自分はそこに参加できない……そんな状況で、ただただ腐っていくような感覚。ある意味ではホームシックについての曲ですが、同時に、孤独という重圧が人の心をどれほど大きく歪めてしまうかを描いた曲でもあります。
