イングランド/ワイト島拠点のインディーロックデュオ Froglands PKが、8/4にWorm Dog Recordingsからリリースしたデビューシングル 'That's My Boy'を公開！
Froglands PKは Fox Rawding, Max Perryの2人組。Foxがベッドルームプロジェクト Goo Lagoonとしての活動を終えた2020年に結成。今年は地元を代表するフェス Isle of Wight Festivalに出演してます。
Foxは島一番のサイケバンド Plastic Mermaidsのメンバーで、Maxは最近まで Lauran Hibberdのツアードラマーを務めた経歴を持っていて、この島独自の繋がりがみえて素敵ですよね。彼の弟は Coach Partyだったりするし。
ノスタルジックなメロディとライブ感のあるサウンド、隙間を縫うメロディアスなベースラインが素晴らしいです。前述の、脈々と受け継がれていくコミュニティーの中から、また新しくお気に入りのバンドが出てくるときの嬉しさったらないね。
