ニューメキシコ州タオス拠点の Lauren Green, Marissa Maciasによるドリームポップデュオ Tan Cologneが、6/20にLabradorからリリースするニューアルバム『Unknown Beyond』より、先行シングル 'Cloud of Mirrors'のMVを公開！
霧の中に迷い込んで足元を見たら豆粒みたいな街並みが広がってて気づいたら雲の中を漂ってました、みたいな音楽。
2月に Trentemøller、3月に Rose City Band、5月にはヨーロッパでもう一度 Trentemøllerのサポートアクトを務めることからも分かる通り、ミュージシャンに愛されてる印象があります。
“'Cloud of Mirrors' is about life happening to you and having to deal with whatever is handed to you – a chemtrail above, being 'over it,' knowing we are all interconnected and a part of the disaster and the beauty. The idea that we are a mirrored image of the sky – manmade or natural, or even simulated. A reflection of everything around you being internally present.”
'Cloud of Mirrors'は、人生が自分に降りかかり、そのすべてを受け止めなければならないことについての曲です。頭上に広がるケムトレイル、『もううんざりだ』という感覚、そして私たち全員が互いに結びつき、災いにも美しさにも関わっているという認識。空の鏡像─それが人工的なものでも自然なものでも、あるいはシミュレーションされたものであっても─という考え。周囲のすべてが自分の内面に反映されている、というテーマを描いています。
