Sugar Soap、'Living Uptown'を公開

オーストラリア出身のベッドルームポップバンド Sugar Soapが、8/2にリリースしたニューシングル 'Living Uptown'を公開！

Sugar Soapは Jordan Mahler, Luke Mahlerによる兄弟バンド。

2020年にデビューシングル 'Like Minds'を発表するとすぐに注目を集め、もう一人の兄弟 Tomがやってるバンド The Moving Stills, Spacey Jane, Velvet Tripらと共演してます。

彼ららしい爽快感のある一曲。

“This track was born out of my constant frustration of sitting in the same place and doing the same thing for too long, and then finally changing it up to realise that maybe you just needed a break or maybe there’s another place in the world for you - my time spent in the heart of Sydney and Melbourne and then returning home to my home town of the coast gave me the appreciation for.” - Luke

この曲は、同じ場所に座って同じことを長くやり続けることへのフラストレーションから生まれた。そして、ようやくそれを変えることで、自分には休息が必要なのかもしれない、あるいは自分には別の場所があるのかもしれない、と気づいた。シドニーとメルボルンの中心部で過ごし、その後、故郷の海岸沿いの町に戻ったことで、そのことに気づくことができたんだ。 - Luke
