Somebody's Child、'Oh Emily'を公開

アイルランド/ダブリン拠点のインディーポップバンド Somebody's Childが、3/15にFrenchkiss Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Oh Emily'を公開！

プロデュースはメンバーの Shea Tohill、ミックスは Peter Katis (The National, Death Cab For Cutie, Gang of Youths)が務めてます。

昨年にデビューアルバムを発表し、12カ国で54公演行なってきた今勢いのあるバンド。老舗レーベル Frenchkissつながりでいえば Hello Maryと共にチェックしておきたい存在ですね。

“Oh Emily came about when we were at a very early stage of the second album writing. We didn't quite know where it wanted to live yet, and in retrospect this song belongs in its own place. It's interesting to see the development sonically, with where we are now. But at the time it's what started everything off.” - Cian Godfrey

'Oh Emily'は、セカンドアルバムの作曲のごく初期の段階で生まれた曲なんだ。私たちはまだこの曲がどのような位置づけにあるのかよくわかっていなかったし、振り返ってみるとこの曲は自分たちの居場所にふさわしいものだった。今の私たちのサウンド的な発展を見るのは興味深い。でも当時はこの曲がすべての始まりだったんだ。 - Cian Godfrey
