ヨークシャー拠点の Jack Sedman, Harry Draperによるデュオ Seafretが、3/14にNettwerkからリリースしたニューシングル 'River of Tears'のリリックビデオを公開！
近日発売予定のニューアルバム収録曲で久しぶりのシングル。5月からUKツアーも始まるようで忙しくなりそうですね。
“’River of Tears’ explores the heartbreak of being in a relationship you always knew was doomed, yet still struggling to accept its inevitable end. We originally wrote this on piano but found the darker production worked so well we had no choice but to go for it. This song was a turning point for the album and even a little for us as writers. It isn’t a style of song we’ve done in the past but it feels like we’ve opened a door to somewhere new and exciting.” – Seafret
'River of Tears'は、最初から破綻が見えていた関係の中で、それでも避けられない終わりを受け入れられずにもがく心の痛みを描いている。もともとはピアノで書いた曲だったが、よりダークなプロダクションが驚くほどしっくりきたため、この方向で進めるしかなかった。この曲はアルバムにとって、そして私たち作曲者にとっても転機となった。これまでにないスタイルの楽曲だが、新しく刺激的な扉を開けたように感じている。— Seafret
