Sam Burchfield、'Make Change'を公開

ジョージア州ジャスパー拠点のインディーフォークアーティスト Sam Burchfieldが、8/29にCloverdale Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Make Change'を公開！

10/24発売のニューアルバム『Nature Speaks』収録曲で、共同プロデュースに Ryan Plumley, Jason Kingsland (Delta Spirit, Deerhunter)が参加。

わずか5日間でレコーディングされたという6枚目のアルバムの曲。最後の「I wanna be〜」のパートが響きますね。

“I wrote this one on a joyful night in Pittsburgh, after a rowdy late night karaoke session. New friendships and authentic spontaneous moments can inspire change. I was in a time of life where I could feel myself being pulled through a doorway into something new. The call to newness requires us to burn away the dead wood of ourselves and mourn what has to die. That’s what this song is about.”

この曲はピッツバーグでの楽しい夜に書いたものです。にぎやかな深夜のカラオケのあとでした。新しい友情やその場の本物の瞬間は、人を変えるきっかけになるものです。私は人生の中で、自分が新しい世界へと引き込まれていくのを感じていました。新しさに向かう呼びかけは、自分の中の枯れた部分を焼き払い、失われるものを悼むことを求めます。この曲はそのことを歌っています。
