ベルギー出身でオーストラリア/メルボルン拠点のシンガーソングライター Romanie Asseによるソロプロジェクト Romanieが、5/14にCommunity Musicからリリースしたニューシングル 'Uh Oh'のMVを公開！
ディレクターは Young Ha Kim, Romanie Assez。
2023年発表のデビューアルバム『Are We There Yet?』以来となる新曲で、共同プロデュースは Sam Swain (RAT!hammock, Obscura Hail)。
以前からグランジっぽいザラつきのある音を使ったインディーポップはやってたけど、ここまでロックに振り切った曲はなかったかな。サウンド、MVともに00's初期を思わせる雰囲気で、そういえば自動車の解体場ってよく使われてたよなーって遠い記憶の引き出しを開けられました。
“I was going through a rough patch in life with some health scares and homesickness and caught up with my friend Hamish Mitchell, we wrote ‘Uh Oh’ over a couple of hours. A few months later we started playing it live - it’s a really fun song to play livereally fun to play. ThisIt was the first time taking my live band into the studio and I think Sam Swain captured our energy really well. The scream got added towards the end of the sessionafterwards mainly as a joke but everything evolved so naturally and we kept it inon this song.”
