オーストラリア/メルボルン拠点のインディーポップバンド Polarizeが、9/26にリリースしたニューシングル 'Can't Help Ourselves'を公開！
Polarizeは Rudie Dodd, Sandy Moore, James Young, Ben Murphy-Mckenzie, Joe Swannの5人組。
2018年にデビューEPを発表し、2020年1月には日本ツアーを行ってます。
'Can't Help Ourselves'について、インスピレーションを受けたバンドに Suicide, Pulpを挙げていて、そのテキストを読む前に聴いた第一印象がまさに Pulpだったので狙いすました作曲能力に感心しました。ちなみに、彼らの曲の中だと 'Housebound'が好き。
“The song addresses over indulgence, and how sometimes you just can't seem to ignore the forbidden fruit that is dangling in front of you.”
この曲は、耽溺しすぎること、目の前にぶら下がる禁断の果実を無視できないことがあることを歌っている。
