ブルックリン拠点のインディーポップデュオ Pavo Pavoが、1/25にBella Unionからリリースするニューアルバム『Mystery Hour』より、'Close To Your Ego'を公開！
Pavo Pavoは Oliver Hill, Eliza Baggによるレコーディングプロジェクト。共にイェール大学で音楽を学んでいて数多くのアーティストやバンドの作品に参加してます。
どちらも素晴らしい仕事っぷりですが、特に2018年のOliverに関しては Renata Zeiguer, Anna St. Louis, Sam Evianの作品、Kevin Morby, Vagabonのツアーメンバーとしてよく目にしたなぁという印象です。
のほほ〜んとした雰囲気と歪な表現のバランスがいいですね。先に公開された'Goldenrod'は以下より。

“The beach is an image that keeps coming back to us – the edge of the world, with the possibility of exiting it,” Oliver says. “The idea for this cover is that it builds on the Young Narrator cover, with two figures casting long shadows on the beach. That cover was a collage and this is a photograph, the hi-res, come-to-life version.”
