Oscar Blue、'Lighthouse'を公開

アイルランド出身のインディーフォークアーティスト Oscar Blueが、4/10にリリースしたニューシングル 'Lighthouse'を公開！

これまでに Kodaline, Hermitage Green, Kingfishのサポートを務め、Sea Sessions, Indiependenceなどのフェスに出演してます。

'Lighthouse'のプロデュースは Shea Tohill (Somebody’s Child)、ミックスは Philip Magee (Kodaline, The Script)、マスタリングは Simon Francisが担当。

社会福祉活動に尽力し、北ダブリンやロンドン中心部で依存症やホームレスに苦しむ人々を支援しながら、ソングライターとしてのキャリアも開花させるすごい人です。

“The main thing I touch on in this song is the weight of the battles those in addiction and homelessness endure as they try to reconnect with themselves and those they love. I’d hope this song shines a reminding light on the beautiful humanity of a cohort of people whose stories spend so much time in the shadows. Working in that world has changed me massively and I’ve gained so much insight from my clients”.

この曲で主に伝えたかったのは、依存症やホームレス状態にある人たちが、自分自身や愛する人とのつながりを取り戻そうとする中で背負う、闘いの重さです。この曲が、普段は見えにくい場所に置かれがちな彼らの美しい人間性に光を当てるきっかけになればと願っています。実際にその世界で働く中で、私は大きく変わり、多くの気づきをクライアントたちから得ました。
