サウスカロライナ州チャールストン出身のサイケデリックロックバンド Orange Doorsが、4/28にリリースしたニューシングル 'Cat Up A Tree'のビジュアライザーを公開！
6/12発売のEP『Corn Planet』収録曲。
マルチインストゥルメンタリストでソングライターの Ian Russellを中心に、チューバやトロンボーンも使うマーチングバンド出身のメンバーが揃ったスリーピース。
素朴なスタイルの中にカオスが込められていて、どことなく Beck, Neutral Milk Hotel辺りに近いものを感じます。
“The ebb and flow of relationships in life, how people come and go etc. The choruses are about the feeling of progressing little by little only to eventually lose that feeling and start the cycle over again at the bottom. Second half is about missing lost loved ones, the ability to connect with them through memories and dreams. Song also invokes a feeling of going on an adventure, like kayaking between two mountains” - Ian Russell
人生における人間関係の浮き沈み、人との出会いと別れなど。コーラスは、少しずつ前進していく感覚がやがて失われ、また振り出しに戻ってしまうという感覚を歌っています。後半は、失った愛する人への思い、そして記憶や夢を通して彼らと繋がることができるという感覚を歌っています。また、この曲は、まるで二つの山の間をカヤックで漕ぐような冒険の感覚も呼び起こします。- Ian Russell
