イングランド/ロンドン拠点のサイケデリックポップアーティスト Oli Swanが、2/24にSugar Town Recordingsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Julia'を公開！
Oli Swanはサフォーク州出身のシンガーソングライター・プロデューサー。
自身がフロントマンを務めるバンド Oli Swan & the Dangerous Creaturesとしての活動に加え、ソロではEPをFierce Pandaからリリース。
また、Robbie Williamsの'Lost'を共同作曲・プロデュースし、Kaiser Chiefsの元メンバー Nick Hodgsonの新バンド Everyone Says Hiにギタリストとして参加するなど、引っ張りだこの存在です。
'Julia'は年内発売予定のデビューアルバム収録曲。
“’Julia’ is an old song that I decided to revisit towards the end of the album sessions. I'd avoided recording it in the past as it had always felt a bit too conventional, but when I worked out the surprising rhythm change in the drums, after the intro, the song took on a different vibe. It was self-recorded and produced at Sugar Town Recordings by myself and Jean Stevens. It's also got some lovely vocal harmonies on there by Lu Whitlock. I wrote the song after a conversation with a friend who had just gone through a breakup where his partner left him suddenly, without warning or explanation. It's about feeling stuck motionless, waiting for someone to come back.”
