スイスを拠点に活動するシンガーソングライター・コンポーザー Mary Middlefieldが、1/25にリリースしたニューシングル 'This One's For You'のMVを公開！
ディレクターは Imogen Harrison。
'This One's For You'は3/3発売のデビューアルバム『Thank You Alexander』収録曲。共同プロデューサーは Gwen Buord。
12月のシングル 'Two Thousand One'で気になった人。
これまでの曲調は Matilda Mannの雰囲気に近いかなって思ってたけど、こんなに明るくてアッパーな曲もあるんですね。
シークバーを見ずに聴いてればアウトロっぽい気もするところから一歩奥へ踏み込む3:14~がかっこいい。
“It was a pleasure working with the same crew of musicians throughout the project, and we had a lot of fun improvising throughout the process of making TOFY. As a child, we feel like we have to subscribe to certain stories we might come across in books or films and I wanted the track to mark a sarcastic tone to the traditional fairy tale, princess storylines we are fed.”
プロジェクトを通して同じメンバーのミュージシャンと一緒に仕事ができたのは嬉しかったし、TOFYの制作過程では即興でいろいろなことを楽しみました。子供の頃、本や映画で出会う特定の物語に従わなければならないように感じます。このトラックは、私たちが聞かされている伝統的なおとぎ話やお姫様のストーリーに対して、皮肉なトーンを刻みたいと思いました。
