ノルウェー/オスロ拠点のインディーポップアーティスト Louise Wesethが、10/17にリリースしたニューシングル 'Squares and Fences'を公開！

この曲はコペンハーゲンに住んでいたときに書き、オスロでバンドと共にレコーディングとプロデュースを行なったとのこと。

ギターのトーン、特にアウトロのところが好きです。

 

“I wrote this song as an attempt to understand the discomfort felt from being scrutinized by a male gaze. The feeling of being perceived as something fixed, and something to be won. The subtle frustration of not being truly seen, but rather placed in a box.”

私はこの曲を、男性の視線によって見られることから生じる不快感を理解しようとする試みとして書きました。何か固定されたもの、そして勝ち取る対象として見られる感覚。真に見てもらえず、ただ枠にはめられてしまうことへの微かな苛立ちです。
