ナッシュビルのインディーポップアクト Julia Knight、'cool for you'を公開

テネシー州ナッシュビル拠点のシンガー・ソングライター Julia Knightが、11/16にリリースしたシングル 'cool for you'を公開！

スマッシュヒットしたデビューシングル 'Ghost of You'(2016)以来となる楽曲 'Like I Used To'を9月に発表し、再び熱気が盛り上がり始めたタイミングの新曲。

前述の2曲と同様に中毒性のあるリフレインや伸びのある歌声は抜群なんですけど、それら以上にむき出しの感情、素地の気持ちが表れていると感じました。曲の内容がそう思わせたのかな。

今後リリース予定のEP情報含めてチェックしておきたい才能です。

“Cool For You is about a super brief relationship that looking back on, I had no business being in really. I met someone in the summer and thought everything was working out, only for it to end abruptly a short couple months later. It’s about trying to be so cool and casual as a way to protect yourself. I hated that.”
