moving mirrors、'Never Going Back Now'を公開

イングランド/ロンドン拠点のオルタナティヴポップバンド moving mirrorsが、3/1にリリースしたニューシングル 'Never Going Back Now'を公開！

moving mirrorsは Sophie Lentle, Christo McCracken, Luke Halls, Nick Jones, Sean Biancoの5人組。

2022年末に結成。それぞれの都市の音楽シーンに積極的に関わってきたミュージシャンが集まったバンド。

こんなにハイハットを気持ちよく刻んでる、というかこの音量の大きさで鳴ってる曲は珍しい気がする。

“It's not a conventional heartbreak song but also not an overly uplifting one, so it was a cool challenge to try and capture the specific emotions of the lyrics within the style and balance of the instrumentation itself as well,” “The inclusion of the backing vocals in the track choruses, for example, make things more rhythmic in contrast to the verses which sound a bit more melancholic thanks to the guitars, so it was a creative challenge in the studio to try and get this balance just right but actually a really enjoyable process.”

この曲はありきたりな失恋ソングではないし、かといって過度に高揚する曲でもない。だから、歌詞の具体的な感情を、スタイルや楽器のバランスそのものの中で捉えようとするのはクールな挑戦だった。例えば、コーラスにバッキング・ヴォーカルを入れることで、ギターのおかげで少しメランコリックに聴こえるヴァースとは対照的に、よりリズミカルになる。だから、このバランスをちょうどよくしようとするのは、スタジオでのクリエイティブな挑戦だったけれど、実際にはとても楽しい作業だった。
