Jordy Maxwell、'Where'd You Go'を公開

オーストラリア/パース拠点のシンガーソングライター Jordy Maxwellが、10/20にリリースしたニューシングル 'Where'd You Go'を公開！

プロデュースは Andy Lawson (Death By Denim, Noah Dillon, Eskimo Joe)。

2016年から活動開始。複数枚のEPと多くのシングルを発表し、これまでに累計1,800万回以上のストリームを記録。これまでに The Dreggs, Jack Botts, Kim Churchill, Thirsty Mercのサポートを務め、最近では、ロンドンでヘッドラインショーやオランダのフェスでメインステージに出演した初のヨーロッパツアーを行なってます。

海岸沿いで沈む夕日を眺めながら穏やかに過ごすときの感じだなーってアートワークを見ずに聴いてて思ってたら、そのまんますぎてびっくりした曲。

“'Where'd You Go' is a song about losing your love for adventure, new experiences and the beauty of living simply. I find it very hard to fully immerse myself in the excitement of something new without thinking it will just end anyway and I'll be back where I was to start with. Subconsciously, I found the song explores losing someone so close and dealing with life after they've gone. Maybe that loss is linked to my bitterness or lack of excitement in times of joy. The song is an impassioned plea to myself to make change and enjoy being in the moment.” - Jordy Maxwell

'Where'd You Go'は、冒険や新しい経験、シンプルに生きることの素晴らしさに対する愛情を失ったことを歌っている。どうせ終わってしまうし、また元の場所に戻ってしまうだろうと考えずに、新しいことの興奮に完全に浸るのはとても難しいことだと思う。無意識のうちに、この曲は親しい人を失い、その人がいなくなった後の人生への対処を探っているのだとわかった。もしかしたら、その喪失感が、私の苦しさや、喜びのときの興奮の欠如につながっているのかもしれない。この曲は、変化を起こし、今を楽しもうという自分への熱烈な嘆願なんだ。 - Jordy Maxwell
