Ian Janco、'Letter to Myself'を公開

イングランド/ロンドン拠点のインディーフォークアーティスト Ian Jancoが、2/16にRapture & Reverieからリリースしたニューシングル 'Letter to Myself'を公開！

'Letter to Myself'は近日発売予定のEP『Reverie』収録曲。

抜群のメロディーとおおらかなアレンジ、そして2:53以降の徐々に変化していくところが素晴らしいです。

“When I was younger, I spent a lot of time feeling anxious, comparing myself to others, and fantasizing or worrying about the future. When I wrote this song with my good friend Jason, I was still in that headspace a bit, but this song (and the others on the EP) felt like a crack in the wall of a dark room, which began to let the light of presence, self-acceptance, joy and peace in. I hope this song inspires you to think about what you might say to a past version of you, what words of encouragement or advice you’d offer… and what a future version of yourself might say to you now.”

若い頃は不安を感じたり、他人と自分を比べたり、将来のことを空想したり心配したりすることに多くの時間を費やしていた。親友のジェイソンとこの曲を書いた時、私はまだ少しそのような頭の中にいたけれど、この曲（そしてEPに収録されている他の曲も）は、暗い部屋の壁にヒビが入り、存在感、自己受容、喜び、平和の光が入り始めたように感じた。この曲が、過去の自分にどんな言葉をかけるか、どんな励ましやアドバイスをするか、そして未来の自分が今の自分にどんな言葉をかけるか、そんなことを考えるきっかけになれば幸いだ。
