イングランド/ロンドン拠点のオルタナティヴフォークアーティスト Heart and Mouthが、3/4にリリースしたニューシングル 'I Spy'を公開！
Heart and Mouthは、デヴォン出身のソングライター・ベーシスト Flynn Mulcahyによるプロジェクト。
セッションミュージシャンとして Laptop, Tummyache, Danny Chaska, Sunshine Blues band, Tokyo Toy Companyなどに携わり、1月にデビューシングル 'Heart in Mouth'を発表。
'I Spy'は3/24発売のデビューアルバム『Heart in Mouth』収録曲。
プロデュース・ミックス・演奏は Soren Bryce (Tummyache)が務め、コントラバスに Linus Fenton、ドラムに Jonathan Lilleが参加し、マスタリングは Matteo Bajardiが担当。
地元のスタジオ Middlefarm Studiosにて、Tummyacheの Soren Bryceとの即興的なセッションで録音された作品。サイケな霧に覆われて、エレクトロニックなノイズや歪みの欠片があちこちに散らばっていて、何とも不穏な空気感が素晴らしい。
“We finished tracking this song at the height of summer, three hours before I had to get the next train to London. It was a real turning point for the record. When we started tracking I’d never sung before, I was nervous, and super in my head. But after a few months break, practising singing, recording this song was the first time I loved my voice. I can relax listening to it”
