カナダ/モントリオール拠点のオルタナティヴポップアーティスト Hanorahが、3/27にEnsoul Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Heavenly One'を公開！

5/9発売のEP『Closer Than Hell』収録曲。

ソウルとシューゲイザーを融合させたユニークな音像と優しい歌声が美しい一曲。後半が特に素敵。

 

“I wrote it in the aftermath the explosive ending of a relationship due to the other person's substance use disorder. I found myself terrified by the prospect of love again, and inspired by Aretha Franklin's plea for peace on "Walk Softly". Making the song itself was so fun though, that the sad backstory is eclipsed by the joy of the process.”

この曲は、相手の薬物依存が原因で関係が劇的に終わった直後に書きました。再び恋をすることが怖くなってしまった自分がいて、同時にAretha Franklinの'Walk Softly'に込められた平和への願いにインスピレーションを受けました。でも、実際に曲を作る過程はすごく楽しくて、その悲しい背景よりも制作の喜びのほうが強く残っています。
