イングランド/バーミンガム拠点のオルタナティヴロックバンド Ginghamが、7/5にPicnic Blanket Recordsからリリースしたデビューシングル 'From the Start'を公開！
Ginghamは地元の音楽シーンの様々なバンドで経験を積んできた友人同士で組んだバンド。
本日行われるリリースイベントでは sugarthief, Bright Townを呼び、今月は The Kites, Shai Bridesと共演します。
ジャングルポップなメロディーを歌い、ギターがシューゲイズして、ジャングル/DnBのグルーヴに突入する忙しなさが最高の一曲。
“‘From the Start’ tries to rationalise the feelings of a socially anxious extrovert, the need to be liked and fear of not being understood. The joy of going out but some of the anxieties that come with it, forcing you to not be present and enjoy yourself fully because of overthinking. It also expresses the realisation that this isn’t something new and has actually been inside from the very beginning and, as far back as you can remember, there’s been a need to be accepted after feeling different and left out.”
