イングランド/ダラム拠点のインディーポップバンド Fortitude Valleyが、5/20にSpecialist Subjectからリリースしたニューシングル 'Sunshine State'のMVを公開！
制作は Nathan Stephens-Griffin, Laura Kovic。
Fortitude Valleyは Laura Kovic (Tigercats, Laura K)を中心に結成されたバンドで、現在は David Hillier, Naomi Griffin, Nathan Stephens-Griffinを加えた4人組。
2021年にデビューアルバム『Fortitude Valley』を発表。これまでに Los Campesinos!, Allo Darlin, Gruff Rhys, The Wave Picturesらと共演してます。
'Sunshine State'は8/1発売のニューアルバム『Part Of The Problem, Baby』収録曲。
Tigercatsや Martha, Fast Bloodのメンバーによるインディーロック・パワーポップ。
“Lyrically, the song is about moving away from Australia and dealing with those feelings. I found some old journals from when I was a teenager, and they made me reflect on how much I’d changed as a person. There were things about myself that I’d forgotten, but it was clear how much I’d always wanted to move to the UK. I was so keen to get away! From such a beautiful place! So the song is like: I’m going back to the Sunshine State to find my younger, more melodramatic self and catch-up with her.” - Laura Kovic
