Fan Girl、'the last one'のMVを公開

オーストラリア/メルボルン拠点のインディーロックバンド Fan Girlが、5/9にリリースしたニューシングル 'the last one'のMVを公開！

制作は Luke Thomas。

ミックスは Oli Barton-Wood (Nilüfer Yanya, Shame, Do Nothing)、マスタリングは Felix Davis (Porridge Radio, Folly Group, The Murder Capital)。

近日発売予定のEP収録曲。

3月のシングル 'stupidstupid'もそうだったけど、最近のギアの入り具合が明らかに違う気がしてて、EPリリースとその後のツアーでバンドのスケールが大きく変わりそうですね。

“the last one was written on the backend of a writing stint in Feb 2024. Like most of these songs, it came together very inspired, and super quickly. It started with a piano line that Vince played into an iPhone voice memo and sample, which we listened to obsessively. Over the last few months of writing, we have been toying with new sounds, prying open the artistic can of worms, and following our guts, and this song was the first that just landed right where we wanted it.”

'the last one'は、2024年2月の執筆活動の後期に書かれたものだ。これらの曲のほとんどがそうであるように、この曲もとてもインスピレーションに溢れていて、超スピーディーに出来上がったんだ。ヴィンスがiPhoneのボイスメモとサンプルに弾き込んだピアノ・ラインから始まったんだ。この数ヶ月間、私たちは新しいサウンドに翻弄され、アーティスティックな缶詰をこじ開け、自分たちの直感に従って曲を作ってきたけど、この曲は私たちが望んだ場所にぴったりと収まった最初の曲だった。
