Don't Worryは Ronan Van Kehoe, Samuel J. Watson, Alex Reed, Benedict McDowellの4人組。
'Middle Finger'は7/18発売のサードアルバム『Idealism』収録曲。
ミレニアル世代の大人として2020年代を生き抜くこと、そしてそこに伴う困難や不確実さをテーマにしたアルバム。Pavementのような味のあるボーカルと、短いながら聴き応えのあるアレンジが素晴らしい。
“Despite its name, Middle Finger isn’t about swearing or hand gestures. It’s a song about acknowledging that even when life goes the way you want it to some of the time, it’ll never go the way you want it to all of time, and that’s ok. I did have a cyst at the base of my middle finger (but it miraculously disappeared), I do have astigmatism in both eyes, and I probably don’t have the world’s most physically healthy heart.
