スコットランド/グラスゴー拠点のオルタナティヴポップバンド Disco Maryが、6/26にGroove Bound Recordsからリリースしたニューシングル 'Proof'を公開！
Disco Maryは Kev Sherry (Attic Lights), charly haze (Charlot Henzen), Rachel Grant, Michael Beattie, Nicole Gardenerの5人組。
2021年にデビューEP『Joy Imported From a Happier Age』を発表し、これまでに Cambridge Sound & Vision, Party At The Palace, Edinburgh Festival Fringeといったフェスに出演してます。
“Lyrically, it explores the world of alternative facts and our need to make sense of all the noise. However, the song shifts the perspective and questions ‘what if the only proof we need is that we are alive, living on a spinning rock and that one day, we won't be’.”
歌詞では、オルタナティブ・ファクトという世界と、混沌とした情報の中で意味を見出そうとする私たちの本能を描いています。しかしこの曲は、視点を切り替えて問いかけます—「本当に必要な証拠って、私たちが生きていて、この回る岩の上で生活していて、そしていつかそれが終わるということ、それだけなんじゃないか？」と。
