イングランド/ロンドン拠点のオルタナティヴポップバンド Dirty Niceが、9/6にChiverinからリリースしたニューシングル 'SHARK!'のMVを公開！
Dirty Niceは、『Don't Hug Me I'm Scared』などを手掛けたコンポーザー Charlie Pellingと、リスボン拠点のミュージシャン Mark Thompsonの2人組。
2021年にデビューアルバム『Lobster』を発表し、これまでに Wet Leg, Desta French, Bad Soundsとコラボレーションを行っており、俳優 フローレンス・ピュー (『ミッドサマー』『ストーリー・オブ・マイライフ/わたしの若草物語』)が彼らのファンであることを公言したのも話題になった注目のデュオです。
'SHARK!'は11/3発売のニューアルバム『Surrenderland』収録曲。
ミュージシャンであるし、コンテンツクリエイターでもある。というソーシャルメディアの世界を、ビビッドな色合いで駆け抜ける清々しいコンビ。音楽にかける情熱と同じくらい好きなカートゥーンとコメディーという武器で、バッキバキにぶっかまし続けてるので最高です。
“In light of the album announcement, the video for SHARK! is a trailer for the weird and wonderfully disturbing animated world of Dirty Nice (think Cartoon Network’s long lost mutated clone). We’ve even managed to convince some of our characters to sing along. The song itself is an ode to the old banger we used to drive up and down the country in when we were teenagers in bands. We called it ‘the shark’. Life was 100mph and everything was ahead of us. Similar to some of the main themes of the ‘Surrenderland’ album, it’s about embracing the past, warts and all and most of all just being yourself.”
