david ofmg、'early in the afternoon'を公開

アイルランド/ダブリン拠点のインディーポップアーティスト david ofmgが、1/24にofmgからリリースしたニューシングル 'early in the afternoon'を公開！

昨年デビューEP『for what it’s worth』を発表したニューカマー。

これまでに Greg Tisdall, Tonalityなどと共演し、特に同郷の注目バンド modernlove.との関係が深く、サポートアクトやMVのディレクターを務めてます。

前述の modernlove.、同じく地元の milk.、または The 1975まで、雑食で間口の広い音楽性がどこまで広がっていくのか楽しみな存在です。

“The song explores the idea of insomnia and how your dreams spill into your reality to the point where nothing seems real anymore. It's an issue I have dealt with my whole life and so have many other creatives. Most creative people I know write everything at night. Like it's their fortress of solitude. But in return, the daylight seems so daunting to the point where you end up rotting in bed until the sun sets again. And the cycle repeats itself.”

この曲は、不眠症のアイデアと、夢が現実に波及して何も現実のように思えなくなることを探求している。この問題は、私も、そして他の多くのクリエーターたちも、ずっと抱えてきたものだ。私が知っているクリエイティブな人たちのほとんどは、夜にすべてを書いている。まるで孤独の要塞のように。しかしその代わり、昼間の光がとてもつらく感じられ、結局また日が沈むまでベッドで朽ち果てることになる。そしてこのサイクルが繰り返される。
